There will be some great people in attendance this year, to include speakers from a few different backgrounds. The talk of the town this year, however, is Donald Trump. As you well know, he was basically just named the presumptive Republican nominee for the highest office in the land after Ted Cruz dropped out.
According to the NRA’s website, he is a confirmed speaker. But, he’s not the only one. Marco Rubio, Rand Paul, Sheriff Clark and Trey Gowdy are just some of the other people who are confirmed to speak. And of course, the usual NRA reps, like Wayne Lapierre will also be there.
The NRAAM wouldn’t be complete without a huge list of gun and gear makers in attendance. And, all the usual big names will be there. I’d include a list, but you can just view it here, if you’re so inclined.
One of the awesome things about the NRA Annual Meeting is the music. There is a free concert thanks to Colt, featuring country music star Brett Eldrige. Yes, you read the correctly, the concert is free.
Upping the ante, Toby Keith will be in attendance with tickets starting at the cheap $20 mark. However, at the time of this writing, those tickets look to be out of stock, and the cheap ones are now $35. Still not too shabby.
But, perhaps most important, is the opportunity to spend a few days with like minded people with a single, shared goal: preserve the second amendment. After all, without it, you wouldn’t have the right to defend yourself and your family against criminals.
And, it doesn’t really matter where you stand on what the NRA is doing or stands for. Nor is it really of any importance where they choose to spend our money. Because one thing is absolutely certain: The NRA is a thorn in the side of the radical left, and they aren’t going away anytime soon. It’s better to support them, than not.
Gun Carrier will be in in Louisville, Kentucky from the 19th to the 22nd of this month, May 2016. We would love to see you there. If you happen to see me walking around, make sure you come say hi.
