ALONE Season 2 Recap: Episodes 1-3
Ten people enter the Vancouver Island wilderness carrying only what they can fit in a small backpack. They are alone in harsh, unforgiving terrain with a single mission–stay alive as long as they can. These brave men and women must hunt, build shelters, and fend off predators. They will endure extreme isolation and psychological distress as they plunge into the unknown and document the experience themselves. No camera crew. No producers. It is the ultimate test of human will. (Source)

Recap of Episode 1
“Once More Unto The Breach”
The 10 experienced survivalists arrive at Vancouver Island. They each do their best to adapt to their new surroundings. They spend their first day setting up their shelters and each try their best to get a fire going – which is no easy task due to the wet conditions on Vancouver Island.
In episode 1, a few of the survivalists discover that they may not be so alone after all, as they realize that the predators (one predator in particular) are very close. The main predator in episode 1 are black bears. Some discover bear scat very close to their camp and one survivalist in particular, Desmond White, becomes extremely concerned and decides to tap out and go home.

Recap of Episode 2
“The Knife’s Edge”
The 9 remaining survivalists continue to adjust to their new environment and make order out of chaos. One survivalist proves incredibly skillful and finds enormous success scavenging and hunting for food. Meanwhile, doubts emerge for others as debilitating hunger sets in.
At the end of episode 2, Mary Kate Green suffered a deep wound in her hand, but will it cause her to tap out?

Recap of Episode 3
“The Beasts of Night”
The beginning of episode 3….
As I mentioned before, at the end of episode 2, Mary Kate Green had suffered a serious wound on her hand while using her axe. She knew without a doubt she needed emergency care so she grabbed the satellite phone and pushed the “tap out” button which unfortunately ended her stay on Vancouver Island.

As episode 3 continues…
After a week on Vancouver Island, many of the survivalists are finding success in their new environment. While some work in harmony with the wilderness, others battle against it and careless mistakes are made.
