The New Bersa BP9CC

My friend and I were looking for something that looks like a Glock 26 but a lot smaller and suitable for an everyday carry. The Bersa BP9CC kept popping up, but we had no idea about it because it is relatively new.

There are guns you immediately like once you laid eyes on them, and one of them is the BP9CC. Imagine a Glock and Kahr had a one night stand, and this pistol is the offspring. Some of you might be doubtful about the performance of this handgun because it is a Bersa. But in my opinion, they turned a new leaf and the BP9CC is an absolute testament to their improvement.

Bersa BP9CC Specs

The Bersa BP9CC is a polymer pistol with a single-stack magazine. It is chambered in 9mm with the dimensions of a .380 and .32 ACP handguns. When it is fully loaded with 9 rounds of ammunition, it weighs 24.84 oz. The grip is very thin; in fact, it is the thinnest pistol I've ever put in my hands, measuring 0.94″ wide.

Unlike any other compact lightweight pistol, it is 4.8″ long so your pinkie finger will not uncomfortably hang off the end. It has an ambidextrous textured indentation, which provides a safe spot for resting the trigger finger.

Ease of Use and Performance

The Bersa BP9CC is a very accurate pistol and really easy to shoot. One thing noticeable is the trigger is super smooth. The trigger has a short reset DAO that gives me a nice, clean, and crisp break. Follow-up shots were easy to put on target because the front sight jumped into my vision.

Disassembly of the BP9CC is very simple. You just need to line up the takedown indexing marks, push out the slide stop level, and then push the slide off the front of the frame. Take out the springs, guide rod, and barrel, and you're all set to clean your pistol.

Pros and Cons

One of the things I like about the Bersa BP9CC is its size. This pistol's size makes it extremely easy to hide in the appendix carry position. As if you were not carrying any gun at all.

Other than that, this pistol is easy to control even if you chamber it with the fattest +P+ loads. The trigger is light considering it is a double action.

I am amazed by its short reset for follow up shots. You can empty a full clip in an instant. The ergonomics of this Bersa is arguably second to none. The thing I found weird in the BP9CC is slide safety. A key is provided to lock the slide so it will not move. Although it is a bit odd, it is not a deal breaker for me.

Bersa BP9CC Price and Overall Verdict

The fit and feel of the Bersa BP9CC are definitely remarkable. It is extremely accurate and impeccably reliable.

As a gun enthusiast, I always look for something very reliable, accurate, and lightweight for my concealed carry pistol. The Bersa BP9CC fits every definition and characteristic I have been searching for. I guess Bersa did it this time.

They were once the underdogs of concealed carry weapons, the David amongst the Goliaths, but now they have proven they can rise and be the top dog. From its ergonomic feel to its impressive performance, I have high regard for this Argentinian pistol. This handgun is quite enough to get me home safe, especially when danger is lurking in every dark corner and alley.
