A bit of a concern for both pro-gun advocates and the gun-grabbers is whether or not children should have access to guns. After all, we constantly hear about the little boy or girl who has accidentally taken the life from another, because they simply did not know any better. The last thing any of us wants, is to hear of a child shooting someone, or getting shot.

But, what if they did know better?

Obviously, there is a greater chance of a family who owns firearms teaching its children about them than a family without. Furthermore, some parents would never want their kid to have access to, or even learn anything about, guns. But, we've all seen that those children who know about guns and have been taught firearms safety from an early age can actually be safer with them because of the greater understanding they have for them.
Well, one middle school in Colorado recently decided that it would be a good idea for their students to not only know about guns, but also how to handle them safely. So, they brought in Project Appleseed to help teach the children about guns, and, on the last day, to actually take a turn in shooting them.
In fact, the program coordinator, Jim Heath said: “We're teaching them about the firearms so they are familiar with them, they can be safe with them.”
And, let's face it: Familiarity is key whenever learning something new.
Unfortunately, however, the video does a poor job of showing any of the firearms safety skills that were learned during this multi-day event. In fact, many proficient gun owners will likely cringe during a few parts when they watch it. Remember, this video is taken from liberal media. Here it is: Click here to watch the video.
Still, it's nice to know that there are some people out there willing to teach kids firearms safety. Perhaps if more children knew the dangers associated with putting your finger on the trigger, less of them would do it.
Of course, a program like this never takes the place of a parent's teaching about guns and gun safety, but for those kids who will never hear any gun-positive words come out of their parent's mouths, this is, by far, a huge step in the right direction.
What do you think about this? Would you ever want a program like Project Appleseed to come to your child's school to teach about firearms safety? Let us know in the comments below.

ABSOLUTELY! Also, teach the 2nd amendment and what it means to ” have the right to keep and bear guns”. So that you can protect yourself, your property, and protect yourself from a rogue government….such as Virginia.
