How's this for common firearms sense:
Due to a rash of recent break ins, one business owner decides to tell his co-workers to go out and get their concealed carry permits, and then buys them a each a gun.
Talk about going against the grain of the anti-gunners…
The Georgia business, which was left un-named in the source article (linked to at the bottom), obviously doesn't want to be taken advantage of and wants his employees to be safe while on the job. So much so, in fact, that after the 3-4 weeks it took for each employee to bring in the concealed carry permit, he bought them each a Taurus Judge.
In case you aren't aware, the Judge is a 5-shot revolver that is able to pack a decent punch. Capable of firing either .45 Colt or .410 shot shells, this revolver is a more than capable option to put any bad guys down for the count. Are there better options out there? Sure there are. However, when cost is factored in and you have to buy several guns for people, the Taurus Judge is a great option.
We think it's a great idea, and one that we'd like to see other businesses start to take up as the world increasingly gets crazier all around us. After all, we all know that gun-free zones don't work. In fact, all a gun-free zone does is invite bad guys with guns to shoot the place up.
Instead, what we need are trained citizens who are not only capable of using a gun in the defense of the innocent, but people who are also willing to do so. What do you think? Wouldn't it be nice if all businesses woke up and eventually started to buy their workers guns? Let us know in the comments. Here is a link to the source.
