Here at Gun Carrier, we like to learn from the mistakes of others. This is one of the reasons why we have a segment we like to call “idiots with guns.” We like to show you what not to do with your guns, just in case your common sense was left inside the gene pool when you escaped your mother's womb.

Most of the time, when we post these videos, people were being stupid, but had the chance to learn a lesson. A lesson that hopefully taught them to not act so irresponsibly with a gun, ever again.
Sadly, this next story didn't end so well. A man fatally shot himself in the face while he and his girlfriend were taking selfies with a loaded gun.
At this point in my article, I would have inserted some sort of funny joke, or say something cute to mock the idiot pulling the trigger. I'm not going to do that this time. Loss of life is never a funny thing, and I feel badly for the people he's leaving behind.
Let this be a lesson here, folks. The four rules for firearms safety are there for a reason. While most rules are meant to be broken, these ones are meant to save your life or the life of someone else.
Treat every gun as if it were loaded. Keep your finger straight and off of the trigger until you intend to fire. Don't point your gun at anything you do not intend to destroy. Know what your target is, and what's beyond it. It would seem as though he violated all of these rules.
According to his girlfriend, he had loaded and unloaded the gun several times before taking that last picture. Although, it seems as though he missed at least one. Here are the key takeaways I want you to get:
  1. Always follow the four safety rules. They're there for a reason.
  2. Even if you believe the gun is unloaded, never assume that it is by pointing it at your head.
  3. Selfies and guns are generally a bad combination for more than just this reason. They can also incriminate you, acting as evidence.
  4. If there is even the smallest chance that you pissed your significant other off, don't pose for a picture with a gun up to your head. You just never know if she may have slipped one round back in the chamber.

Stay safe my friends, and remember: only you can prevent yourself from shooting yourself in the face. The source article for this story is found here.
