As pumpkin carvings go, this one is just smashing.

In fact, you could even say it’s out of this world.

The jack-o’-lantern with a difference is based on the iconic image of American astronaut Buzz Aldrin walking on the moon back in 1969.

Aldrin, a former Lunar Module Pilot, became the second person to walk on the moon when he achieved the feat as part of the Apollo 11 mission.

It shows the astronaut, now 85, standing on the surface of the moon, in his spacesuit, with equipment and crew members reflected in his visor.
