This 2-shot over and under shotgun is available in barrel lengths of 26.5, 28, and 30 inches. The ammunition ranges in 12, 16, 20, 28, and .410 gauge with ventilated rib and bead front sights. The wooden stocks also make up its weight of 5.5 – 7.05 pounds. The buttstock also includes a safety mechanism on the tang of the receiver.
Ease of Use and Performance

There's nothing like the Merkel with its A-grade walnut stocks when held at the range. It's outright comfortable and the gun's stability makes it seem lighter even if it weighs roughly 7 lbs. As previously said, it's going to be somewhat difficult to handle out of the box. But after a break in of a couple hundred rounds, you'll be surprised how accurate this gun is.

The performance of a Merkel Over and Under is undoubtedly seamless for a shotgun. It's hard to find anything negative to say about this gun with its German engineering precision firearm machining. The accuracy and ergonomics aspect of this gun is one of the best. Not to anger any Merkel fans but although the engravings are a trademark for these guns, I'm just not into it. I'm more of a rugged shooter so I prefer simplicity in the looks of a firearm.
Overall Verdict and Price

The price of this gun at $15845 justifies the features, specs, and performance. Am I going to buy one of these? The answer is no, even if I have the money to purchase. The gun is just too handsome I wouldn't want it scratched when I'm out there hunting or doing my thing at the firing range.

This Merkel is a terrific shotgun overall. I know a few shotgun aficionados who talk about this gun like it's a heavenly thing. Whether you're skeet shooting, hunting, or doing things involving a shotgun, its balance and stability will sweep you off your feet. It's accurate, good looking, versatile, just like a movie star.
