Nature’s Medicine: The Triple A's of Nature's Drugstore

Nature's Triple-A Medicinal Properties

Compared to nature's medicine, there are so many ‘anti-‘ medicines that are man-made. For instance, antiseptic and antiemetic medications can also make the list. I picked the three I find to be crucially important. You will do well to find out more about them. I personally prefer nature’s medicine rather than man-made medicine.

Before I tell you some of these incredible natural plants, let me tell you what the Triple A’s are:

Antiviral

Antiviral properties are effective against viruses. There are plants that will destroy viruses and stop them from spreading.

Antibacterial

Plants with antibacterial properties stop the growth of bad bacteria. They prevent illnesses and diseases in the process.

Antibiotic

Antibiotics are responsible for killing bacteria, certain parasites, and fungi. They inhibit the growth and destroys microorganisms. Antiseptics are similar to antiviral and antibacterial properties. This is because they slow down the growth of bacteria and causes it to become weaker.

When you’re in a survival situation, it’s very important to know what you can use that's available. With no prescription medications around, you can count on nothing else. These Triple A’s make it onto my top three list because they are important in life or death situations.

If you're out in the wild battling an infection of some sort, it’s important to know what you can do to help yourself. Even if you're not in a survival situation and just want to heal yourself the old way.

These herbal medicines I’m about to share with you are pretty easy to come by.

A Variety of the Triple-A Plants

Elderberry

Not only are the berries delicious. They are also beneficial to our health in many ways. This is because elderberry fights viral and bacterial infections.

Ginger

Going back to your childhood, do you remember ginger ale being a go-to when feeling sick? That’s because ginger breaks down the toxins in our body, fighting viral infections and much more. It can also be used to ease pain and inflammation.

Garlic

Garlic is one of the first things in my kitchen I go to when feeling any sort of illness coming on. Raw garlic contains allicin which is the medicine you want. Heat destroys the medicine, though. Garlic also kills microorganisms that cause infection and bacteria. It’s an effective preventative food, too.

Echinacea

Echinacea tea is pretty tasty and extremely beneficial to your health. Drinking some of the tea or taking the capsules reduces infections and viruses. It also stops bacteria and viruses from further spreading.

Olive Leaf

Olive leaf extracts and the essential oil should make it to your medicinal arsenal. It’s a hardcore virus fighter because it's powerful enough to fight serious viral infection. These are viral infections which include the candida, meningitis, hepatitis, and tuberculosis.

Believe it or not, these medicinal plants all have the triple-A properties. Liquid gold, aka honey, is also an incredible addition to your the medicine cabinet.

One of my favorite nature's medicine to use is called USNEA aka Old Man’s Beard. Usnea is a lichen growing on hardwood trees. It’s a potent antibiotic, antibacterial, and antiviral. You only need a little Usnea but it will go a long way. Remember it’s potent.

Here's an article I wrote a while back that goes more in-depth on USNEA, where to find it, and its uses. I make a medicinal tincture with mine.

Nature provides us with everything we need to live, survive, and thrive. These many options should come as no surprise, that is if you only know where to look. Before I go, I just like to say I am not a doctor or medical professional. But, I do practice natural medicine and natural healing in many forms. I hope this article has been of some help to you.

Have you tried home remedies with any nature's medicine as one of the ingredients? Let me know about it in your comments below!

Elaina, do you know of any natural antibiotic/antibacterial plants on Camiguin Island, Philippines for a boil/cyst on the back that appears to be infected? The person is also diabetic. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

The social media junk on the left side of the page sure ruins things. Can’t read the article comfortably at all. I give up.

Hi, i enjoyed your article very much but it was hard seeing you use the word “antibiotic” in reference to medicinal plants since it literally means “against life”.

Hi I find your articles pretty interesting. I have been using ginger for stomach cramps, I go to this one restaurant off and on and every once in a while I would get a stomach cramp ,well I would just have a piece of candied ginger and it seemed within seconds my cramp was gone, much faster than tums and you get this stuff at most large grocery stores or health food stores
