In the checkout line at most grocery stores, there lies a cheap survival product called Spark Multitool Lighter. This lighter has multiple survival applications and is an awesome piece of gear to have with you at all times.
Spark Multitool Lighter: Gearing Up For When The SHTF
I purchased this product at Walmart for about $7, which is a great price for what you get. This gear is a 4-in-1 multitool. It includes a lighter, a mini knife, a corkscrew, and a bottle opener. In a survival situation, a corkscrew and a bottle opener won’t do much for you, but the knife is particularly helpful. The lighter is also water-resistant, but not waterproof. There is a cap to cover the lighter itself. So without further ado, let's see what this gadget has to offer.
The Multi-Tool Lighter
At a glance, this multitool lighter looks really cool because of its metallic silver color. There are also different colors for you to choose from. It weighs around 4 ounces and is small enough to fit in your pocket but may not be very comfortable because of its thickness.
The Mini Knife
Even though I need to sharpen the knife a little bit more, in a survival situation it could save your life. This knife is really good for making wood shavings to start a fire and can fairly be used to cut a rope or a string. However, it doesn’t have much of a point, so it isn't great for skinning game. If you're going hunting, it's best to have a skinning knife with you.
The Blue Flame
One of the main features of this item is the lighter, thus the name. It creates a blue flame that burns steadily and is great for starting fires even when it's windy. It is fairly easy to turn on the flame. All you have to do is slide the switch downwards and wait for the clicking sound, then you're good to go.
The Flame Adjuster & Refilling Valve
The flame adjuster and the refilling valve are found at the bottom of the lighter. However, you will need a small screwdriver or knife to turn the flame adjuster. For refilling, it uses butane fuel only.
The Corkscrew & Bottle Opener
The corkscrew isn't thick at the base and will probably work for you a few times, but if you don't get it right the first time, it might just break. As for the bottle opener, well, it works well when you need to open bottles.
The Verdict
I would recommend purchasing this survival product at your local store. This is a great gear to have with you at all times. But that's just me. One more thing, it isn't childproof, so you better keep it out of reach of children.
Overall, it is a good gadget to have with you when you're out on a camping trip, maybe even going on a fishing trip or just a night out to grab a few bottles of beer with family and friends. If you're up to drinking wine then, your corkscrew will really come in handy.

The Spark Multitool Lighter is not worth $7 I received one as a gift and kept it in my tackle box it did not last for one season, corkscrew broke on first try, knife blade bends too easy and the lighters piezo mechanism wore out after one fill all I have now is a bulky bottle opener because that is the only feature that still works
I bought it for $4.97 last night at WM and it lasted up to this afternoon and quit working. So….
I can’t figure out how to even fill mine so I cancan use it. The butane from Walmart doesn’t fit the valve and the lighters don’t start out with very much fuel in them at all. What a waste because nownow in stuck with 2 unused and unuseable lighters
