We are all about firearms education over here at Gun Carrier, which is one of the reasons why we post these videos for you to watch. The main point, is to prove that gun owners can never be complacent with their gun usage.
Having said that, sometimes people just do dumb stuff. Like this next guy who had a hang-fire with his shot gun. Apparently, he was never told that you need to wait at least 45 seconds before trying to clear any weapon. And then, the proper way to clear it, is not by looking down the barrel.
I really hope this guy went home and kissed his family that night, because DAMN! He almost met his maker that day.

I sure wouldn’t do what this man did. First I would point the gun in a safe direction and wait for a minute or so to be sure it wasn’t a hang fire. Then I would clear the magazine and chamber. check to see if the round had a dent in the primer. After that I would check it again for function with a fresh round.. This guy was very fortunate that wasn’t his time to go or he would have blown the top of his head off..
Can you say that guys a dumb shit?…….That guys a dumb shit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would have put the shotgun down and waited at least five minutes before doing anything.
My father taught me that lesson when I was about eight years old.Hang fire is the worst thing that can happen to your shotgun.

Don’t wear a hat… It would be ruined… What are you doing looking down a barrel to clear a misfire or hang fire?
the bullet comes out that end… the shell is at the other end of the weapon. Duh?
In ’69 when my brother-in-law and I were in basic training (different companies), one of his drill sergeants decided to clear a jam in an M-14 (7.62mm) by placing the butt on the ground and using his boot to kick the bolt open. Jam cleared, new round chambered and fired; recruits got a vivid lesson on the power of the rifle and the DI – a reservist – was given a full military funeral.
I wonder why he didn’t blow out his ears . Does not appear to have any problems with the ears . Wonder why ???
