Okay, the gun economy doesn’t really need to be saved.
But the one thing that I don’t think anyone predicted with a Trumpian victory, is that many progressives are actually buying guns to protect themselves from Trump supporters. Interesting, to say the least.
In an era where everyone thought the firearms and accessories markets would drop, I’m going to say that it has hopefully fallen as far as it will. If those in who will be in charge charge can now legalize suppressors and SBR/SBSs to the point of a form 4473, the market will pick up tremendously.
Plus, it seems as though our beloved Second Amendment just got a whole bunch of support from people on the left who are afraid of a tyrannical president. They just might not realize that they’re supporting it, just yet.
Welcome to the Second Amendment, my friends. It’s nice to have you here. If you ever need any help, please don’t hesitate to reach out in a comment or drop me an email. Or, better yet, seek out some training to get acquainted with your new hobby, something that I can all but promise that you’ll enjoy doing.
Shooting guns is a lot of fun, but you really do need to know what you’re doing. Get some training. We’ll talk more about this in a second.
Moving on …
Preventing tyrannical rule is one of the reasons why the 2nd Amendment was written. And, let me tell you that if a tyrant ever does step up, those of us who are already gun owners, for the most part, will already be on the front lines doing battle with whomever the tyrant actually is.
But, you have to wait and see if this person is going to really be a tyrant. Remember, many of us on the right thought that Barry O was borderline tyrant. We could have revolted at any point, and didn’t, because we believe that the system works.
Again, because it bears repeating, get some training. There are places all over the country willing to teach you how guns work, how to use them properly, the gun laws, where you can/cannot bring a gun, how to not accidentally fire, how to handle one safely, etc. A simple internet search is all it takes. But, let me simplify it for you a bit.
Here are some places where you can find a local trainer:
- The NRA’s primary focus isn’t likely what you think it is. It’s training people in the proper use of firearms. This link goes to their training page.
- Don’t like the NRA? There are other options for you to choose from. USCCA offers some great training, as well. Though there aren’t as many instructors across the country.
- Finally, Appleseed is also a great program, though likely smaller than the other two.
The landscape of our country is changing. People who never thought they’d own a firearm are buying them. I didn’t believe it until I heard it from someone I know. It’s happening, and we need to welcome them to our side and teach them the way of the gun, for the sake of everyone. What do you think? Let us know in the comments below.
