The Threat of Wolves – Facts, Safety and Survival Tips

Just suppose you're almost home, you have your two children in the car and it's winter time. You have no cell service and the car breaks down a half mile down the woody road from your house. You decide to take the kids and walk the rest of the way home, then you come around the bend and come face to face with a pack of wolves.

What do you do?

Wolf Packs
It's hard to believe we live in a modern society with wolf packs running around, but it's happening. Mention wolves to any rancher in Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Washington, New Mexico or Arizona, and they will all tell you the same thing. Wolves are killing machines, and the danger they pose has gone on ignored for too long.

Wolves kill everything.

Wolves are surplus killers. They kill everything in their path, and it's not the sick and the weak. It's the healthy and the prime pickings, too. There are 100,000 wolves in all the lower 48 states, with most concentrated in the states I just mentioned. Now, you might say, I'll just shoot one if I ever come across one, well guess again, friend. Wolves aren't such simple pickings.
If you see a wolf, it's because it wants you too.

Chances are that if you catch yourself in a stare-down with a wolf, there are another five coming up behind and around you at that exact moment. They are very intelligent and cunning animals, highly dangerous and lethal. They stay hidden during the day and come out after dark. About the only place, you would be safe is in an enclosed area or off the ground.

Wolves will stalk you

Wolves will watch your habits and learn how to open doors and gates. They get up on verandas and observe you through the windows of your house. They are methodical stalkers and can make mincemeat out of the most ardent hunters and survivalists, so be ready for them before they come and find you.
Wolves also multiply at a very fast rate. They can reproduce as many as four to twelve in a litter. Times that by 100,000 already here and guess what now it's not safe to go out of your house.

The real problem is not the wolves.

Wolf Packs
The terrifying thing about the wolf problem we have is not the wolves. It's how they got there.
The extreme environmentalists getting rich off government funding and private donations have misled the public into thinking certain types of wolves are endangered, harmless and don't attack people. This is patently false.

Wolves kill everything, including other wolves. The Mackenzie Valley Canadian wolf is the largest and most aggressive wolf out there, and that is the one being systematically injected into rural areas of the country. Wolf packs are decimating the deer, elk and moose populations.
When those prey are gone, we're going to be next.

It's only a matter of time before you start hearing about human encounters with wolves. You have to be smarter than the wolf.

You can run, but you can't hide from the wolves.

Wolf Pack Behavior – Facts

Wolf Packs
There are seven important things you should know about wolves and their habits. Any sign of these seven things should cause alarm.

Exercise extreme caution when:

1. Wolves move in closer to people.
2. Wolves begin to approach human habitations.
3. Wolves appear in daylight and observe people.
4. Wolves act bolder, especially if you notice deer and elk coming in closer to human dwellings.
5. Wolves exploit large live stock as prey and attack.
6. Wolves will try to approach humans and show signs of aggression.
7. Wolves attack humans.
What is the best defense against wolves?

The best avenue of defense from wolf attack would be guns with lots of ammo.
What would you do if you were out of ammo, though? You might want to think of some kind of trap.

Is this the government's biological warfare on mankind?

Believe it or not, some think the wolves need protection

Wolves were hunted/trapped/poisoned to near extinction for a reason. I’ve read the wolves being used to repopulate USA are not native to this part of North America and are much larger than the native wolves were. This article seems to confirm that. On top of that, some foola are breeding wolf/dog hybrids that are said to have no fear of man.
Thanks green whackos, your perfect record of always being wrong is intact.

    1. marcus says:

wolf-dog hybrids are very shy and afraid of people, you cannot use them for anything!
i hope that one day more predators run around, after all we got overpopulation in here, and not overpopulation of wolves, we are the problem, we mess up the planet, not the wolves or the bears or the sharks…people do cause the mess!
one can say: i’m surrounded by madness, hopefully one day we got enough wolves and sharks to eat most of the crazies!

  2. Perrin says:

May I ask you to share your thoughts on feral pigs, please?

  3. Cory says:

Im sorry, but this article is absurd. I have grown up and hunted in wolf, bear, and cougar country my entire life. Of the three, wolves are the least of my worries. If you do research on all the documented wolf attacks in american history, then you are will see there is a higher probability of being attacked by a deer than a damn wolf.

    1. left Coast Chuck says:

Not vey long ago I read some copied articles from newspapers written in the 19th century in Nebraska, North and South Dakota and Kansas about wolf attacks. Now, I can’t attest to the accuracy of newspaper articles, especially when I consider what passes for news in papers today and I only look as if I am old enough to have been alive back then, but if the accounts of the attacks are at all accurate, wolves were a real problem in terms of attacks on humans in the rural midwest during the 19th century which is one reason the federales had a bounty on them until the bambiists got money to influence greedy politicians to reintroduce them back into the U.S. in a protected status.
I am sure you have heard the Mark Twainism that there are lies, damned lies and statistics. Well, it is my understanding that “mountain lion attacks” in California fall into the statistics category. The reason that there are so few numbers of mountain lion attacks in California is that there is a very narrow definition of what constitutes an attack and if an encounter with a mountain lion doesn’t meet that narrow definition then it is a non-event.

  4. Matthew says:

I believe this article to be partial inaccurate and to portray the subject matter in a misleading manner.

  5. robert barton says:

The most dangerous wolves that i’am leery of are the one’s in the white house.

    1. William says:

      AMEN to that!!!

  6. Guy Bouthillier says:

I don’t know where you all get your information. Wolves populated the entire United States and North American Continent. Healthy wolves don’t attack people, unless people provoke them. If you are stupid enough to bring a dog into an area where there are wolves then you should be attacked. Wolves are vital to the habitat just take the time to review some studies on Yellow Stone and what happened when wolves returned.

  7. lastoldbat says:

Hey there Little Red Riding Hood. Would you please do your homework before you share your alarmist attitudes. Wolves have both good points and bad, just like humans, but they mate for life (how many humans are STILL married in this day and age?) and as for killing everything, that just about evens them up with humans, BUT they don’t set out to hunt us, personally – just food. Humans, on the other hand, kill for the sport. And this makes us better than them HOW???

  8. Lisa Daniel says:

You should always stay in your car!!!

  9. Teca says:

If you ever came face to face with a wolf pack they would turn tail and hide. Anyone who does their research knows that. This is just plain sick. Even without your car it’s very unlikely. For anyone who reads this, it’s about as reliable as Wikipedia.

  10. Waya says:

This is the biggest load of bullshit i have ever read. Dear god you are lying out of your teeth but i guess people will do that just so they can kill a beautiful creature!! BTW there are native grey wolves alive if you actually researched the topic before writing bullshit you would know!!! SMH ignorance of some people!!!

  11. Vinnie says:

What a load of bull this is!!

  12. Anonymous says:

this was clearly written by a wolf
