We're also showing what the similarities and differences are between them. All three are very similar in terms of size, shape, and weight, but there are some slight differences worth noting.
What Is Polymer? These are natural or synthetic and often complicated substances made up of very large molecules composed of smaller chemical units. Examples of polymers are synthetic organic materials used as plastic and resins.
1. Springfield XD9

If you are a fan of 1911, it's pretty much going to point you to what you're looking for.The magazine release is ambidextrous, so left or right-handed out of the box, you don't need to change anything. It has a 3 dot sight, textured back strap, a square trigger guard, and safety on the front of the trigger.
It has also a cocking indicator on the back of the slide and the top, you can look at or feel it. You'd like to know it has a 4-inch barrel and weighs only 25 ounces.
This came out in 1999 and has a 16 shot capacity in a standard 9mm. When it comes to Springfield XD quality, you can count on its reliability as hailed by gun enthusiasts.

2. Glock

All three of these handguns have a nitrate finished slide and barrel, which means less corrosion and maintenance.The Glock has a 4.5-inch barrel and weighs 24 ounces. It also has a captivated recoil spring and the magazine release is easy to swap from side to side.
The Glock has a square trigger guard, and the only safety the Glock has is the one on the front of the trigger. It has a white outline sight issued to around 50 countries, got a long history, and a huge caliber range.
The Glocks main difference from the other two is the grip angle. If you are used to 1911 products, you have to break your wrist over center a bit more. The Glock continues to enjoy popularity and a reputation of quality.

3. Smith & Wesson M&P

The M&P was produced in 2005 with a 4 1/4 inch barrel at 24 ounces. It has an accessory rail at the front and a captivated recoil spring.
Like the XD9 it has three dot sights but has many different sight options if you want to change them. The grip really stands out on the M&P because Smith & Wesson spent a lot of time figuring out the ergonomics of the hand to fit the pistol.
They use the standard 1911 grip angle but it comes with 3 different grip panels that are interchangeable for different hand sizes. The M&P has a pivoting trigger for safety.
When it comes to the M&P quality, M&Ps maintain a reputation as an excellent and reliable shooter.

Jerry does prefer the Smith & Wesson M&P due to the grip but acknowledges they are all great weapons. In all reality, it only really boils down to personal preference.
