The liberals say it can't be done. They say that a good guy with a gun cannot stop a bad guy with gun, because there is no such thing as a good guy with a gun. They tell us that everyone who has a gun is a bad guy, and that nobody should be able to own a gun.
Well, they'd be wrong.
Because after a concealed gun carrier opened fire upon a hatchet wielding lunatic who successfully axed a 7-Eleven clerk in the stomach, he didn't open fire on anyone else. He didn't shoot the injured clerk, nor did he turn the gun on himself.
This, my friends, is how a good guy with a gun responds to terror. He had a calm, cool head. He was able to lay the bad guy out with a single defensive shot, and was able to do so without injuring anyone else.
It is unclear exactly what the hatcheteer wanted because he didn't say anything during the entire attack. Actually, maybe a better way of putting it was that the good guy with a gun didn't give the bad guy with an ax the opportunity to ask for anything because he recognized a problem and had the testicular fortitude to do something about it.
The only way to equalize the fight between someone with a weapon, and someone without a weapon, is to give that person without a proper method of defending himself, a gun. Or, have someone else step in with a gun on their behalf.
In case you were unaware, he saved the clerk's life. And, he probably saved his own life, too, because the ax-man realized he had an audience and turned his attention to it.
The man is being called a “good Samaritan” as you can see in the video, below. He is being hailed as a hero, and it's easy to see why:

We usually like to use Defensive Gun Use stories like this as a learning mechanism, but it's hard to see what, if anything, this man did wrong. How would you have reacted? Would you have done anything differently? Let us know in the comments below.
