The Glock 19 Gen 4 is really fun to shoot. A reliable and accurate pistol that even after several thousand rounds, is free from malfunctions. One good defense ammunition to use is the Winchester PDX 124 grain +P because they are powerful and controllable. This gun is not “snappy” rather, it is easy to control and as matter of fact, it is a soft shooter compared to other full-size pistols.

Some people may find Glock 19 as ugly and I’m not going to oppose that but let me just remind them, this is a defensive weapon and not an objet d’art. It might not be the best target pistol but its functional appearance works everytime you need it. This pistol is more effective for close-range work. Glock 19s are noteworthy right out of the box but it can be better with a few accessories. It is very easy to break down for maintenance and cleaning.

I definitely recommend you to have a Glock 19 Gen 4 for everyday carry or a backup pistol. You can get one of this G19 Gen 4s for less than $600. A reasonable price for a fine piece of weapon.

How Is recoil compared to the Walther M2 ppq or Beretta 92.Is it easy to rack?Big thanx to all

  2. ImOffendedTreatMeSpecial says:

It would be perfect if they offered it with the Cominally safety as an option. Glock added the safety for the m9 replacement trials but they don’t offer it to us peons.

  3. Floid Barnes says:

another “perfect gun” article…. yes a good pistol, but not perfect…. will it ever end?

  4. Mikial says:

I’ve owned and carried a Glock almost exclusively since 2001, and I still have my well used Gen 3 G21, and it still ticks like a clock.I can say with absolute honesty that I have never had a malfunction other than one bad primer in a factory round that has prevented it from going bang when I pulled the trigger. Perfection? Maybe not quite . . . but closer than any other gun I have ever owned or shot in my long lifetime.
