Size and Ergonomics
The S&W M&P 2.0 possesses a compact body with a barrel length of 4 inches, making it one of the most powerful guns for its size. It’s around the same size of the extremely popular Glock 19, making it a versatile size in both everyday carry and shooting range situation.
Despite being the same size as a Glock 19, it’s slightly chunkier than the Glock due to the bigger 10mm rounds. This makes it much nicer holding it in the hand, while being thin enough to carry on your waistband if you choose.
Just don’t expect carrying this on your waistband to be a comfortable experience.

Customization Options
As far as customization goes, accessories that fit Smith & Wesson’s 45 ACP models will fit the S&W M&P 2.0 10mm. This gives you a ton of options at your disposal, especially for holsters.
It also comes with S&W’s optics mounting system, which can be a bit janky due to the mounting plates’ plasticky build. Still, once you slide your optic on to the mount, it’s solid and reliable and because it's a standard mount, it gives you a wide variety of things to mount.
The M&P comes with suppressor height sights out of the box, which is a win for people who suppress their guns on a regular basis. Not only will you be able to use sights if you have a suppressor mounted, but you can also co-witness with an optic.
Reliability and Accuracy
Shooting with the S&W M&P 2.0 is a complete joy. Its 15-round frame compensates for all the potential recoil a 10mm can bring. It’s so mild, you could mistake it for a much less powerful gun.
You get the signature Smith & Wesson reliability with this 10mm. It hasn’t failed in the shooting range and accuracy remains precise whether the target is up close or far away.
One strike against M&P, however, lies on the trigger reset. It doesn’t give the tactile reset one’s used to in a striker pistol and it’s hard to tell if the trigger has reset.
Can you shoot .40 S&W ammo out of a 10mm like the S&W M&P 2.0 10mm? Rangehot.com attempts to answer that question:
