Another police officer has died in what was a tragic, unprovoked attack. Make no mistake about it folks, our cops are at war with people who wish to do them harm. It seemed like, at first, this war was a race issue. However, it has been made apparent that they don't care what shade of color the cop's skin is—because this last one from Prince George's County, MD, was, in fact, a black police officer.
Listen folks, police are there to do a job. It is their job to enforce the rules put forth by our government. Do some of them take advantage of their role? I think some of them probably do. However, people from every industry and every job around the globe take advantage of others. That's just the way it is.
Some restaurant workers spit in food. Some salesmen rip people off. Some IT professionals are hackers. Some cable installers steal WIFI passwords. Some medical staff steal drugs. Some accountants are thieves. And, some police officers are brutal in their tactics. The difference is, they are held to a higher standard than the rest of the population is, and when one messes up, they all look bad.
Does that sound familiar? It should, because that is exactly what is going on here with our 2nd Amendment rights. When one person screws up, it makes us all look bad. But, I digress because this article isn't about that.
What this is about, is Gun Carrier's undying support for America's police officers. Most cops aren't bad. Most of them have families with a wife or husband and little munchkins running around at home. Can you imagine having a little boy or girl being told that his daddy won't be coming home because he was killed just for doing his job?
Would you want to make that phone call, or pay that visit? I sure wouldn't.
My friends, police officers are people, just like you and I are. They have families who love them. And, there is something else that you need to know: Most concealed gun carriers are willing to protect cops. I've told all of my cop friends (and I have several across the entire country) that if I ever see anyone in uniform being held at gun-point or getting their ass kicked, I'm pulling over to help them out. End of story.
Furthermore…
Each time I've ever had to call 911 for an emergency, whether it was for one of my kids, my wife or myself, you know who the first responder always was? An on-duty police officer. It doesn't matter which town or state I was in, the police officer responded and was the first one on scene who was qualified to do anything for my family members.
Believe it or not, they do actually care about you. But, they don't know you. They don't know if you're going to pull a gun out and shoot them just for doing the job that they've been hired to do—enforce the law. Here's a novel idea, instead of complaining and shooting at cops, try to follow the laws that have been put into place to keep people safe. Then, guess what? You won't have to worry about supposed “police brutality” anymore, because the cops that are bad, will filter themselves out of employment.
Police lives are being taken for granted. There is an obvious uptick in the amount of violence they are being shown. It is time for the American people to stand up in protest of this violence and obvious hatred of life. If you hate cops, I urge you to remember that they have a family, too.
Stay safe out there, my friends.
