Was Your Water Bottled in Drought-Stricken California?

We've all heard about California's drought.  Several cities have already run out of water, and it doesn't look like the rains are coming anytime soon.

Despite this, several beverage companies are still sourcing the bottled water from some of the driest areas of the state.  Many residents are angry that they now have to reduce their water usage, while large corporations are allowed to continue their operations as if the water supply is endless.

California's in the middle of an epic drought — but that hasn't stopped bottled water production in the state. Even as residents face mandatory cutbacks and fields lie fallow, companies continue pumping hundreds of millions of gallons of water every year into plastic bottles — sometimes straight from a municipal water supply.
