#15 – A missing ingred. tryed the vinagar for killing grass & found out it also needs salt added to it. After spraying our fire pit area & the grass was still healthy as ever. Found the recp. on another site last summer & tryed it. It worked.I added a half cup salt per gal.
    Hope this heps.

    1. Joe says:

    2. Kris says:

Also, when it comes to using the vinegar to kill weeds/grasses, if you put in a tablespoon of dishsoap in the gal of water, any kind except Dawn, the soap helps the vinegar stick to the plant leaves, and they absorb more of the vinegar. The vinegar actually dehydrates the plants til they die. Prevents them from absorbing water.

    3. mb says:

Be careful with the salt! Salt will make the soil infertile–not just the weeds, but nothing will grow there again. I heard, that in history past, when conquering nations would move in, the oppressed residents, being forced to move out, would scatter salt everywhere before they left to prevent the new residents from being able to use their newly confiscated land for planting food for themselves or their animals. . . . Just food for thought.

Place apple cider vinegar (regular, not distilled) in a sauce pan and warm it. Stir in sugar until the mixture is palatable. Let cool and gargle with the mixture every five to ten minutes and swallow. The sugar holds the vinegar against the membranes and the vinegar does the healing. Honey can be substituted for the sugar.
