So, there is all kinds of wrong happening in this next video. To make matters worse, the poor girl who is doing the shooting (and smacking) never even should have had this .500 Magnum revolver in her hands to begin with.
Believe me when I say that I've seen women shoot this size cartridge better than most men…
The main takeaway from this, is to never go for the absolute biggest cartridge you can get your hands on when you're just starting out. In fact, most people with any amount of common sense do the exact opposite when they start shooting. They begin with a .22 before they ever pick up anything bigger. When you start with a smaller, more manageable gun, you do a number of things:
- Build confidence in your ability.
- Actually learn how to shoot the right way.
- Practice proper stance and grip.
- Learn how to follow through (she didn't even have a chance to do this one).
Think about it like this: If I wanted to become a pilot, would I jump right into the driver's seat of a 747? Uh, no. Instead, I'd have to start on a small single prop plane and gradually make my way up.
Why on earth did this guy think it was okay to have this girl shoot a .500 Magnum when she clearly hadn't built up the proper fundamentals yet? The world may never know.
Enjoy!
I’d say she should get a chance to pistol whip the guy that handed her that gun a couple of time.
